Because the strings deliver more powerful tone, set is ideal for rock and roll and blues, as well as classic rock. Plain strings are made of specially tempered, tin-plated, high-carbon steel, producing a well-balanced tone, and have a patented winding of bronze wire, tightly wrapped around the lock twist of the ball end. Wound strings are made from nickel plated steel wire wrapped around a hex-shaped steel core wire.
